These happy birds are raised in portable pens moved daily to fresh grass. They get plenty of greens & bugs, exercise, fresh air, and sunshine. Research reflects that pasture raised animals have higher amounts of healthy Omega 3 fatty acids (the good fats). They also get a farm-mixed ration of corn, oats, soybean meal, alfalfa hay, fish meal, sea kelp, and yeast to complete all their protein, vitamin and mineral needs. We raise groups during the pasture growing season (April through November) but have frozen birds available year around.
